Starter Loco Kit 0-4-0 Industrial Tank | |||||||||||
This generic little tank loco kit was inspired by the delightful little C14 tanks built by the LSWR for rail motor trains and Quayside Shunting. It was these locos that Tri-ang based their 00 gauge Nellie starter loco on. |
The kit is intended to provide the newcomer to 0 gauge or etched loco kit construction with a set of components that will produce quickly and easily a first loco that will boost enthusiasm and provide a valuable foundation of experience for more ambitious projects. |
To help achieve this the instructions are very comprehensively illustrated with step by step construction photographs and contain a tutorial text with a particular emphasis placed upon construction techniques and tools used. The main body and chassis components are etched in brass. They are of high quality and fit together well. The boiler is pre rolled and there are cast components for a basic cab interior. Etched name and number plates for Nellie and Polly are included. |
